(MEI), a leading manufacturer in custom engineered-to-order elevator packages, is proud to announce its acquisition of Archi-Tread, a premier provider of elevator sills and Sillskin® products. This strategic acquisition strengthens MEI’s commitment to providing complete elevator packages while reinforcing its position as a top-tier supplier in the elevator industry.
Archi-Tread is what MEI President Rick Lowenberg calls a “natural fit” with MEI’s business. “The acquisition of Archi-Tread not only bolsters MEI’s ability to provide fully customized elevator packages but also enhances our offerings through the parts sales division.”

Archi-Tread offers a variety of stock sill options, in addition to custom-fabricated sill solutions in a range of finishes to meet virtually any need. Scott Akin will continue to be involved in the business as MEI integrates Archi Tread into its ongoing operations, ensuring continuity and maintaining the high level of service customers have come to expect.
